Currently capi20_register() will only work if you invoke it as root. After this you can drop privileges. See "man capi20": CAPI_ERROR_CAPI_NOT_INSTALLED = 0x1009 The CAPI20 device, /dev/capi20, cannot be opened. Also see "man isdnconfig". Depending on your line you might have to set a different D-channel protocol. --HPS
