I'm running 3.2; I've got 2 parallel ports, one of which has an external zip drive connected to it. I've been thru The Complete FreeBSD, 3rd edition, the faq, the handbook and any other documentation I could find. I've also searched deja.com but I just can't seem to get this damn zip to work. In my kernal I have: controller scbus0 device da0 controller ppbus0 controller vp0 device lpt0 at ppbus? device lpt1 at ppbus? In /etc/fstab I have: /dev/da0s4 /zip msdos rw,noauto 1 1 The mount point /zip does exist and there is a disk in the drive. I realize this message may be a bit long, but I'm trying to make sure I don't leave anything out. If anyone could help me get this zip drive to work, or at least point me in the right direction, I would be grateful. dmesg output follows.
