X-BeenThere: freebsd-current@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Discussions about the use of FreeBSD-current List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 29 Oct 2005 20:22:16 -0000 Build world is consistly 6% slower running an amd64 world than an i386 world. In both cases, I'm using the default install of 6.0 RC-1 on the same AMD 64 3000+ with 1GB of RAM. I'm finding that build world takes 48 minutes under i386 and 51 minutes under amd64. Is this expected? cheers -- Dan Langille : http://www.langille.org/ BSDCan - The Technical BSD Conference - http://www.bsdcan.org/
