I = couldn't get RedHat 7.1 to install, so decided to try FreeBSD. It = installed and worked flawlessly. The amazing thing about it is that I = always thought X windows was slow-- not so with FreeBSD. KDE / FreeBSD = running on my 350 MHz K6 seems much more responsive and faster than my = 500 MHz machine running either SuSE 7.2 or RedHat 7.1. The installation seems more difficult than necessary. The Kernel = configuration did not list my 3Com Card in list of availible cards and = yet everything still works. I read the installation, document and it = says get rid of cards that you do not have in order to resolve = confilicts. But the list did not have my card. I selected and out of = luck it worked.
