My 3com ep0 card also stopped working with OLDCARD in the same way, but
NEWCARD is now working stunninly well for my Libretto/ToPIC97. (Except
for the only cardbus card I have:

dc0: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
	ether 00:80:00:80:00:80
	media: Ethernet autoselect
	status: no carrier

Look at the ether address! )
