This one's a doosy.
Guys, I can't seem to get X working properly here. I'm starting X with
this command -
startx -- -bpp 24

Problem is that while it seems to be starting in 24bpp, it really isn't.
It's starting in what I think is 16bpp. Any ideas?

Sorry it had to be so lengthy - I wanted to make sure all of the
information was provided. :)
Anyhow, the system is:
PII/233 - AGP Diamond FireGL 1000 Pro - 3DLabs server (I recently
grabbed the binary of the server from xfree86.org, it was dated
11/30).
I'm really at a loss here. The output from startx doesn't seem to be
complaining about the color depth, but I can tell you by looking at it
that something is wrong.
