Fonts? Sender: owner-freebsd-java@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hello! I downloaded the 1.3 Linux JDK and played a bit with it. It installs in /usr/local, but it installs no symlinks from /usr/local/bin to /usr/local/linux-jdk1.3.0/bin is that intentional? The first example I tried, was the Metalworks demo. Two oddities here. 1. The font in the help window looks horrible, the inter character spacing is not correct, for example the "m" has far too much space on its right side. 2. It traps often. Here is some typical output from stdout: mvw@nil$ /usr/local/linux-jdk1.3.0/bin/java -jar Metalworks.jar Font specified in font.properties not found [--symbol-medium-r-normal--*-%d-*-*-p-*-adobe-fontspecific] (20 or so repeated) # # HotSpot Virtual Machine Error, Unexpected Signal 11 # Please report this error at # http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi # # Error ID: 4F533F4C494E55580E43505005BC # # Problematic Thread: prio=403120832 tid=0x8140c08 nid=0x100b runnable # Abort trap Any ideas?
