Check that you have /usr/X11R6/lib/browser_plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so, and that it points to the correct place. Then do an ldd /usr/local/jdk1.4.2/jre/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so to make sure all the libs are found.
