Lee thank you for your response, since last night I have gotten freeBSD to
install but only after seitching to one disk and no Raid settings.  From
my investigation it appears I have to build a custom boot disk that has
the support for the IDA driver for the raid contoller on it.  I really
have no idea how to do that at this point but hopefully I can figure it
out within the next few hours.
