Should i report a bug? I have installed bootable versions of various Linux'es and BSD 4.0 on it many times without any problem. I have tried every which way to install 4.2 and to have it use the FBSD boot manager .. totally without success. This included installing boot "by hand" using bootcfg. I have tried DD, and without DD. Note.. - I can boot it via the CDROm and by selecting the kernel on the HD - I can boot it if I tell the installation program to use the MBR - I can boot it via LILO - I can boot it if I install grub. But it simply does not want to work with the standard boot mechanism. Is this a bug ? I can supply precise details of m/c configuration if required. thanks Cliff To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
