Mine's not a winmodem.... you could try:
card "COM1 SA" "MC220 CARD"
config 0x4 "sio3" 10
#config 0x1 = 0x3f8
#config 0x2 = 0x2f8
#config 0x3 = 0x3e8
#config 0x4 = 0x2e8
This crashes my [-current] machine though.
