Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-hackers@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk I knew that FreeBSD would run BSDI 1.1 binaries, but why can't it run NetBSD-1.0 binaries? I get the message "Bad magic: ld.so" when I try. Would it be an easy fix to add NetBSD support, or is there some incompatibilities between the shared libraries? P.S. I just received an announcement that NetBSD 1.1 will be released November 17, 1995. This is the first official release in a year, since NetBSD 1.0 last October... And you thought six months in between FreeBSD releases was too long to wait! :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jake Hamby | E-Mail: jehamby@lightside.com Student, Cal Poly University, Pomona | System Administrator, JPL ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
