I was just wondering if maybe it is possible to build the Wayland Weston on FreeBSD with Direct Framebuffer (DirectFB) or similar instead of DRM which does not seem to be working. Just maybe that could be a solution but had not found any way to get Wayland or another compositor (Cage, etc.) to work with it yet. My test box is a Debian 10 that I have installed FreeBSD into a Virtualbox VM but I am wanting to eventually take the full plunge over to a complete FreeBDF with graphical desktop as well so that I do not have to develop in a VirtualBox setting but have not found the best FreeBSD, OpenBSD, FuryBSD, GhostBSD, or some other that has a GUI to work from. Will keep digging into it though.
