I don't think it is the picture files themselves that need such liberal permissions. Perhpas the directory where the thumnails are stored should be writable by the webserver user. I'm sure your answer is in there. -CM On 4/28/05, Fafa Diliha Romanova wrote: > hello! >=20 > i got this user who only connects to her account with ftp > to upload pictures to her photoalbum. all the files she uploads > has to be in mode 777 for the photoalbum to work properly; > to generate thumbnails etc. >=20 > hence, i've set her .login_conf to: >=20 > me:\ > :umask=3D0: >=20 > but still the files she upload aren't in mode 777. > does anybody know? >=20 > thanks, > fafa >=20 > -- > ___________________________________________________________ > Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com > http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm >=20 > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.o= rg" >
