If you're > tracking the kde cvs, be patient. Assuming both kscd and workman use the ioctl interface, they shouldn't need to be ported to CAM. The ioctl interface to the CD driver in CAM is the same as the old CD driver. (that's why things like cdcontrol work without modification..)
