Configuration is the area where Unices differ most.  FreeBSD is a BSD,
of course, whereas Solaris (>=2) is a SystemV.

With SystemV, you configure the bootup stuff by putting files and
symlinks in /etc/init.d/ and /etc/rc?.d/; with BSD there is a
configuration file /etc/rc.conf and a few scripts /etc/rc*.
