Just do a make world from your latest -stable sup and take a look through /usr/src/etc by hand to see if there's anything you wish to merge into your own /etc (your system will continue to work without this step, but you won't have some of the nifty auto-start features that a few packages now rely on). As to how long -stable will continue to run, well, your guess is as good as mine. :-) As far as I'm concerned, it died with 2.1.5-RELEASE, but fortran has shown us all that sometimes the dead refuse to stay that way. :) Jordan > Hi > > I have a small question. > > What are the steps to upgrade from 2.1-STABLE --> 2.1.5 RELEASE ? > Will the STABLE branch continue on the long run ? > > Thanks for an excellent job. > > Thank you > Haytham > > ________________________________________________________________________ > Haytham Abd-Alsalam Algyndy > Dept. of Elec. and Comp.
