The real test should be just to use the same window manager on the same X display and see if the solaris version behaves differently. Just start your app on the local freebsd box, telnet to a solaris box and run the same app remotely displaying to the freebsd box. If the problem occurs on the local app but not in the remotely displayed one, it should be a FreeBSD java bug. Enrico.
