[-- Attachment #1 --] Tom: I've had the HP Pavillion n6395 for about four months now, and I can say that it all works rather nicely. The NIC is great, no problems what so ever. It uses device xl*. Attached is my kernel config file, use at your own risk, YMMV, disclaimer, disclaimer...you get the picture. ;-) Also, for your convenience, I've attached my XF86Config file. I used XF86Setup to get the 1024x768 resolution, and it should work for you, but just in case it isn't cooperating... Hope everything works well for you. If you need further assistance, I'll do what I can, just drop me a line. I may not be able to respond as quickly as this next time, tho.
