I'm taking this since I committed the update and adding the maintainer to C=
C.

I did run the updated client before committing the update and am running it
right now. It is not segfaulting on me, so I committed it.

To help the maintainer diagnose this you should also state the FreeBSD vers=
ion
you are running.

Unluckily both the core dump and the backtrace you provide are of little us=
e.
You should recompile at least owncloudclient (but maybe some used libraries
too) with debugging symbols enabled so that we know in which functions the
crash actually happened.
