Ok I have forwarded this from a friend who is about to set up a network
that you can see below. please help me answer this and M$ NT4.0 is their
option over FreeBSD. and I'd MUCH rather see them run fbsd.

Thanks

Subject: UNIX & Hardware

ok do you know if freebsd...or any sco unix os will work on a HP
Netserver....with multiple processors & multiple SCSI harddrives?

I have been given a project...
well actually just starting to be given lead constructor on a project
I get to build an infastructure in the test lab for testing database
apps....will be a unix base server for db apps like oracle to be tested on

have to still do meetings & conference calls to determin exactly what
they want
& what hardware additional hardware that is we might need

but i already have 4 servers in boxes & I am assuming they will want to
use 1 of
those...
like i said tho...they have 4 200 pent pro processors & 512 megs ram...&
I think
all 4 have 12 9 gig scsi harddrives & scsi cd rom drive

so i need some additional info...mainly from someone that uses unix

PleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeAAAAAAAAAaassssssssssssssssE!
