Greetings I've been trying to setup a sort of restricted RSH on my FreeBSD 4.1-R machine. Normally I don't allow any RSH at all, but I have a CVS client on my Mac Workstation, that unfortuneatly can only use Password or RSH. I have added to my hosts.allow file rshd : 192.168.1.2 Which would be the internal IP of my macintosh. I've also uncommented the 'shell' line from the inetd.conf. Upon trying to login with the CVS client, using RSH, I see the following errors on the FreeBSD Machine's terminal: rshd[775]: auth_pam: Permission denied rshd[775]: PAM authentication failed Any ideas as to the cause of this? -j To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
