Is it possible to set a timeout for the DNS resolver? The IP that I connect from changed recently and system login process now takes more than a minute to complete, apparently because of DNS reverse resolve problem (I experience similar delay when log into other boxes with different NS setup; the box in question does not run a name server) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
