Subject: Booting problems - why can't boot0cfg fix them?

Hello

I have 3 scsi disks on my machine - one is dangerously dedicated and
contains only data, the other two have slices, etc.=20

Of these two, I can boot from the first one (always have). I see the usual
F1, F2, etc. from the boot manager, if I press return, the boot process
continues.

Now, I have installed a fresh copy of FreeBSD 4.4 on the second disk, but
cannot reach it via the boot manager. The message I get when going to the
second disk from the boot manager (pressing F5) is:=20

=09Invalid partition

At this point, if I type:

=092:da(1,a)/kernel -s

at the "boot:" prompt it boots fine from the second disk.

I have tried lots of combinations with boot0cfg but so far have not been
able to get it to work. I currently have:

# this is the first disk, boots no problem:
