That's because USB devices look like SCSI devices to userland
programs. I.e. a scsi bus is assigned for them, and they have target
and lun numbers just like regular scsi devices. You'll need to make
sure the appropriate usb devices are configured - usb, uhci or ohci,
umass - as well as the scsi devices - scbus, cd and possibly da.

So you use cdrecord just like you would for a SCSI cd. As to which
will work, I can't help you with that.
