The term "final configuration" is not quite useful in this context. The boot floppy (once you get PPP working) will leave you with a fully functioning FreeBSD operating system. You need to do _nothing_ else. That is, you need to do nothing else if there is nothing that you want to do. :) Your next step will probably be to install some software. Maybe you want to install pine/pico for email and text editing. Maybe you want to install netscape navigator or star office. If you are really motivated you may compile your first custom kernel.
