I'm planning to build up a wireless AP using 802.11b technology at home. I've noticed that my Lucent (Orinoco) Wireless 11 mbit card can't act as an AP in FreeBSD. Can someone give me any recommendations on Prism II/Prism 2.5? I'm searching for the cheapest brand I can get (since the chipset is the same anyways), to keep this as a low-budget project. Is there any reason to choose a Prism 2.5 chipset instead of Prism II? Or reverse? Thanks. Erik.
