I don't know if I write to the right list to pose a question at this point. I have a configuration which doesn't accept router advertisement. So there has been no address autoconfiguration, I have given it manually with ifconfig. With netstat I see I miss routes to certain subnets, though I have named a gateway. No way to insert a static route in the kerenl table with route add ... bad Address is the response I get. I run FreeBSD 4.0 I don't need to check if routed6 runs when I simply wish to add a static route? thanks:Anastasia To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
