So far, I was not able to install freebsd-5.0-rc3 to this disk - system would panic due to page fault. No such issue occurred under 4.7, but I need the cardbus support under 5.0 :( boot detection messages under 5.0-rc3: ... ohci0: mem 0xec000000-0xec000fff irq11 at device 14.0 on pci0 usb1: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support usb1: on ohci0 usb1: USB revision 1.0 uhub2: NEC OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 uhub2: 3 ports with 3 removable, self powered umass0: In-System Design USB storage Adapter, rev 2.0/11.05, addr 2 ... da0 at umass-sim0 bus0 target0 lun0 da0: Fixed Direct Access SCSI-0 device da0: 1.000MB/s transfers da0: 19077MB (39070080 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 19077C) The only difference I noticed in the above between 5.0-rc3 and 4.7 is: da0:650kB/s transfers under 4.7. When 5.0-rc3 panic, the folllowing is echoed: syncing disks, buffers remaining... panic: bdwrite: buffer is not busy... Anyone have similar experience? solutions I can try? know what changed between 5.0 and 4.7? Thanks in advance. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
