It will attach to the pccard/card bus bridges rather than the current backwards way that it is done now. I know the importance of being able to install over the net with a laptop. Believe me, I've jumped through enough hoops to get my VAIO up and running (and before that my Libretto). Installation is currently the weak point in the FreeBSD laptop support.
