I picked up Amancio's modified bt848 driver and recompiled it into my kernel. Have only tested it for about 10-15 minutes so far, but my impression is that it's a definite improvement. I don't know if this was the intention, but the IDE timeouts that I was frequently getting before seem to have been reduced in frequency and duration. Now to look at the code and try to understand what the difference between it and the committed is. Bernie
