Hi,
I have X up and running and it everything appears to work fine. However,
in the console log I am getting the following message over and over again:
Feb 9 21:57:00 peloton init: getty repeating too quickly on port
/dev/ttyv4, sleeping 30 secs
I assume this is due to a slight misconfigure of the XF86Config file, but
I don't know what. I am running a #9 FX 771 4Mb card with a Nanao T2-17TS
monitor. Here's how I have the card configured in XF86Config:
Section "Device"
Identifier "#9 FX 771"
VendorName "#9"
BoardName "FX 771"
#VideoRam 4096
#s3RefClk 16
# Use Option "nolinear" if the server doesn't start up correctly
# (this avoids the linear framebuffer probe). If that fails try
# option "nomemaccess".
#
# Refer to /usr/X11R6/lib/doc/README.S3, and the XF86_S3 man page.
# Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection
I got this configuration via the xf86config utility. When it asked about
RAMDAC however I didn't know what to put so I just hit return. Since this
mentions clocks as well, I'm wondering if that might be the problem. Any
ideas?
Thanks a lot ahead of time for your help!
