Mm, where did you start kedit from? It should be started either from the xterm you started xcin from, or it should at least have the same environment (XMODIFIERS and LC_CTYPE set as above). I just typed a "§A¦n" (supposed to be "ni hao") that way in kedit. Best regards, Robert
