These hangs are caused by indefinitly looping somewhere inside nvidia_drv.so. As time passes, X server figures it out somehow and escapes from loop, but after short time everything hangs again. I've tried downgrading to RC1 and upgrading to RC3, downgrading NVIDIA driver to 295 and upgrading to the latest, downgrading Xorg and friends to 1.7.7 and upgrading to the latest with WITHOUT_NOUVEAU set. Nothing helped.
