The ports homepage is using HTTPS https://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/

in /usr/ports/Makefile is an outdated config for
MASTER_SITE_INDEX?=3D    http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/

There is an automatic redirect from http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/ to
https://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/ by the web front-end server. However, it wou=
ld
be better to use the real HTTPS URL without redirects.
