I will probably try to come up with at least a proof of concept patch soon.
Once I have that much, I can start to think of what a VOP_WRITESAME()
might look like. If possible, it would be nice to get this in 15, since it =

have to wait for 16 otherwise.

new feature, at least it won't get completely forgotten and I can hang patc=

there.
You could look at the release schedule for FreeBSD 15 to see what the
optimistic bound on an implementation of this is.
