I strongly disagree with adding gtk12 support to any port since gtk12  
is dead.

But will this work with firefox 1.1? see http://www.marcuscom.com: 
8080/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/
for cvs stuff to checkout firefox 1.1alpha from ports/www/firefox
