I = also made sure that I logged into the windows box using the same user = name that I have on the BSD box that I changed the password for. So im = using the same user name for both windows and BSD and the same password = as well. You mentioned in the samba config that you have to add the user = names in there and I did not see a place to do that. Is there any way = you can give me a cut and paste of that config example ? I am also using = Client for Microsoft Networks when I log in. Thanks, Mike F. dude....samba as far as looging in on your windoze box...works just like = Microsoft Networks...you assign user names and shared directories in the = samba config....the way you log in..on the client windows box is the = "Client for Microsoft Networks" login...heres how mine is setup.. i have 4 users...all are specified in samba ....you have actually add = the users as accounts on the unix box ..either thru /stand/sysinstall = ...or adduser.... also set your client windoze machines to use "client for microsoft = networks" when you boot the win box up...itll ask for you network = login...use one of the accounts specified on the unix box and samba...at = his point you should be able to view at least the machines on the = network and the samba server...the only other thing to do is setup the = permissions on the directories...so that each user can access his or her = folder.
