Greetings, I have a switched 10/100 network. I have Superstacker II 3300 switches and DSH 500 hubs. I have spent quite a bit of time trying to use the Transcend (3COM) network management software. The version we are using is lame. I don't want to buy anymore of their software. I have a 486 DX 66 with 32MB Ram sitting around. I thought of installing FreeBSD 4.x on it and using it only for monitoring/managing my network. Is this hardware going to be adequate ? What software (ports) are recommended to accomplish my task ? Wanted feedback from someone thats cracked this nut. thanks, Darryl To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
