I dont know if there is another way, but this >seems like a simply answer :P yeah, that was the first thing that came into my mind.. But 4 bg processes roughly for free shell users means 4 eggdrops.. Or BXses, or something like that - very nice for user, but a hell for a old crappy BSD box. So, i was just wondering - how to keep it down to one bg process, or even none of them. I have seen how it was done 3 years ago, when I was a free shell user :-) they allowed any process, any number while you are logged in, but, almost at the time i logged out, they terminated my detached BX. I am very curious, how it is done, since i'm now intending to do the same.
