I have = a MSDOS/Windows 95 partitions and 500Mb free unused space at the end of the disk. When I = tried the installation and the procedure found my physical geometry, also the free space. When = it asked me for the disk geometry, I gave it my LBA translated geometry - 624 cyls./128 = hds./63 sects./512 bytes. And here is the problem - the installation started, and the system said = that it cannot access=20 128 hds. through the controller, switched to 16 hds. and went in endless = loop of error messages, saying that the parameters of the disk are incorrect. Of course I = rebooted. I've heard good things about Free BSD, and I would like to have it on my disk, so if you = have time, please write me a step-by-step instruction what to do. I can repartition my = disk with PQMAGIC to make the 500Mb free space at the very beginning of the disk.
