Of course, They're both installed. It's just not picking either of them up. I ripped out the source code for the popt test in configure, and had to modify it to get it to compile. > libgnome might be looking for zlib 1.1.4 due to the recent double free > problem. Possible, although I don't see any check for a specific version in zlib (it just looks for zlib and bzip2 stuff AFAICT), but popt looks for libpopt > 1.5, which I have (1.5.1).
