Hi, I just completed what appears to be a successful upgrade from gnome2-2.6 to gnome2-2.10 (via the gnome_upgrade.sh script) on a 4.10-RELEASE system. Strangely, the package database still shows 2.6.0 is installed. "About GNOME" shows 2.10.0 and the new splashscreen is definitely new (among other things). Will this cause any problems, and if so... any ideas how to fix it? Here are some details... thx BTW, I did a cvsup of the ports tree prior to the upgrade. ---------------------------------------- pkg_version output ---------------------------------------- # pkg_version -v gnome2-2.6.0 < needs updating (port has 2.10.0) ---------------------------------------- pkgdb -F output ---------------------------------------- pkgdb -F reports a few things (which I've skipped for now): ---> Checking the package registry database [Updating the pkgdb <format:bdb1_btree> in /var/db/pkg ... - 260 packages found (-0 +1) . done] Stale origin: 'multimedia/nautilus-media': perhaps moved or obsoleted. -> The port 'multimedia/nautilus-media' was removed on 2005-03-12 because: "Deprecated, and no longer builds" -> Hint: nautilus-media-0.8.0_1 is required by the following package(s): gnome2-2.6.0 -> Hint: checking for overwritten files... -> No files installed by nautilus-media-0.8.0_1 have been overwritten by other packages.
