As far as my experience goes, I had to do a complete cold reboot to recover the port. - The optional BIOS ROMs don't play nice with other extension cards you might have on a busy system. You might want to disable them and leave the disk initialization to FreeBSD. Given the first very, very annoying quirk in case of disk replacement, I am myself looking for other cards if any better candidates would exist. On 11/08/2010 09:26 AM, Douglas K.
