Well no matter what I try I just cannot get OpenSSL to compile as an extens=

and yet still have 'caching_sha2_password' support.

I took a look at Linux and I noticed that it's never had a openssl.so PHP
extension and I honestly have no idea how the port maintainer plans on
providing 'caching_sha2_password' support and yet still maintain an OpenSSL
extension. Maybe it's time to just statically link OpenSSL (along with the
LibXML that's being statically linked today) and drop the OpenSSL extension.
