If the  problem is Kerberos, please  contact me (urr, I  guess that is
directed  at Brian  and  not  Kris). I have  a  local repository  with
OpenSSH 2.9p2-portable + Kerberos SSH1  + Kerberos SSH2 support.  I've
not offered  these patches  to any project  yet because  (a) FreeBSD's
OpenSSH does  a few things  differently than OpenSSH-portable  and (b)
there are  two sources  for the  Kerberos support  and so  things like
options are kind of a mess and need to be cleaned up.
