Some of the willing helpers (me :-) have IDE CD ROMs that have worked since the very first atapi.flp, which would *normally* be a good thing. Finally, as ever, many of the people with spare machines for running unstable -current code avoid IDE like the plague. I bought my only IDE CD ROM drive under duress ... Giles
