Actually, on reading my own message it didn't quite make sense, so I actually checked the original message. :) He didn't compile anything, he tried to use a pre-compiled linux binary. Anyway, the basic idea still stands, that our linux emulator needs more upgrading. And, yes, there are already libc LDT routines, so it may be possible that that the upgrade isn't too hard.
