I'm running X windows version 4.3.0 and fluxbox as the wm (though the problem happens in any WM or DE so I know it's an X problem) ... Sometimes (but not always), when I switch from X windows to a virtaul console, then switch back into X windows, the screen display appears to have repositioned itself a 1/2 inch to an inch upwards..... The bottom 1/2 inch to inch of the screen is filled in with gibberish and distorted bits of client windows. Apparently X doesn't relize there's a problem when this happens, since (for example) I still have to click a 1/2 inch to inch below any buttons, menus, etc. (or in other words, where it origainlly was) to activate it. Switching resolutions back and forth fixes the problem, but that gets annyoing: this problem shouldn't be happening. My Video Card is a 3d Labs Oxygen Vx1... I use the X windows 3d Labs Oxygen GMX [glint driver]. I'm on FreeBSD 5.2 now, but the X setup is configred the same way it was under mandrake 9.1 and I never had a problem there. Any advice? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Get better spam protection with Yahoo! Mail. http://antispam.yahoo.com/tools
