  At boot time it shows wdc0 as the cdrom , but it won't mount . I checked
the /dev/ and the wdc0 isn't there either. Is there something in the kernel

  Hi.

  I guess you use 3.3-R and mean wcd0. You should change line 'device wcd0'
  on 'device acd0' in yours kernel configuration and rebuild your kernel.
After this everything should be OK.
